Dave began his trapping adventures in 1967. As a young man, he had a keen interest in wildlife. This interest led him to exploring creeks and woods and the first traplines. Along with learning about the different furbearers, Dave was interested in learning about the baits and lures that were used to attract them. In the 1970’s, he formulated his first baits and lures. He started having great success with the products he was making, and other trappers began to ask for them. Many types of ingredients were tested from natural animal products to essential oils and exotic musk. The products we sell today have stood the test of time and are used by trappers across the country. Dave personally makes all his products and labels each bottle.
Dave is a member of many trapping and wildlife control organizations such as the National Wildlife Control Operators Association, National Trappers Association, Illinois Trappers Association and Fur Takers of America. He is an instructor at the Fur Takers of America Trappers College and was inducted into the FTA Hall of Fame in 2024.
